RECRO-NET HOLDS A SEMINAR ON ADVANCED SECURITY MEASURES

October 2008, ZAGREB – One of the leading Croatian system integrators, RECRO-NET, gathered representatives of large global companies and held a seminar on advanced information security measures at the Antunović Hotel.

In cooperation with its Partner, OpenTrust, RECRO-NET held a seminar entitled Building Trusted Ecosystem. The seminar was organized to introduce advanced information security measures, demonstrate insufficiency of classical, defensive protection methods based on peripheral security, and emphasize the need for system development based on digital identity.

The security issues were objectively indicated during the seminar. The consultants, suppliers and Customers who had already implemented this technology provided an integral overview of the advanced security solution.

The seminar was opened by Radovan Rusan, RECRO-NET CEO. The seminar facilitator was Nevenko Bartolinčić, an information security expert and Head of RECRO-NET Information Security Department.

Tomislav Hrisoho from OpenTrust spoke about advanced security technology and provided a typical project description. OpenTrust is a provider of digital certificate technology, which in turn sets up a foundation for complete digital identity based trust. In merely 5 years time OpenTrust has become a leading European provider of solutions for safe electronic transactions.

The seminar was concluded with the presentation delivered by Darije Petrović, IT coordinator, on behalf of Renault Nissan that had already implemented these advanced security solutions. As a Customer, he spoke about their experiences gained from the introduction of this complex system into their production and their current benefits from this implementation. Other speakers included Ivan Maglić from Gartner Adriatic; Igor Šipka from Deloitte ; Goran Peteh from Cisco Systems Croatia and Damir Bacalja from IBM Croatia.

The satisfaction of seminar participants with the information obtained from the seminar is evident from the questionnaire distributed by RECRO-NET, which suggests enviably high speaker ratings, with an average 4.5 to maximum 5, and total seminar organization and program satisfaction.
