T-MOBILE  AND RECRO-NET GIVE A JOINT PRESENTATION IN 

BARCELONA

RECRO-NET and T-Mobile Croatia give a presentation on their large joint project during the International Cisco Conference in Barcelona

T-Mobile Croatia and the leading Croatian Cisco Partner, RECRO-NET, gave a joint presentation entitled “IP NGN Implementation at T-Mobile Croatia” during the Cisco Networkers 2009 Conference held on January 26-29 In Barcelona. The Cisco Networkers Conference is held once a year for each world region and gathers leading network technology experts.

The presentation pertains to the project of implementation of the new IT network generation, IP Next Generation Network Back Bone (IP NGN BB) at T-Mobile. The NGN solution is a solution that eliminates the need for a number of different multi-purpose and multi-service technologies, systems and infrastructures in a single Telecom Operator’s network and replaces them with a single IP technology-based network infrastructure. The presentation was given by Andrija Čondor and Hrvoje Fruhwirth from RECRO-NET and Mladen Jureša and Denko Godec from T-Mobile Croatia.

Former traditional networks typically involve development of a number of parallel multi-purpose infrastructures. R4 is one of development phases towards a completely integral infrastructure for all services. One of the characteristic R4 features is a mutual integration between the Mobile Switching Center Server (MSS) / Media GateWay (MGW) and the IP infrastructure – IP NGN Back Bone. Some of the typical requirements for NGN infrastructure include the following: 99.999% sub second convergence availability, a flexible and scalable solution to be used over a number of years in the future. 

RECRO-NET developed this extremely complex and demanding “turn key” technical reference in competition with large international systems integrators. In addition, this project is the first solution of its sort in the region.
